Known for his honesty, his humour and his no-nonsense talking, Eamonn Holmes has become a housewives' favourite and one of the nation's most-loved television and radio presenters.

Growing up during the Troubles in Northern Ireland, Eamonn was inspired to enrol on a journalism course. He learned the rules of reporting the hard way - at paramilitary funerals and street riots - and eventually became a full-time TV presenter.

In 1986, he took the plunge and moved to England and it was as the presenter of GMTV that he became best known. Viewing figures for the programme fell sharply when Eamonn left in 2005 and for the first time he tells the story of his twelve years as Britain's most popular breakfast host, the truth behind those infamous interviews, the celebrities he's loved and loathed and what it's like to wake up the nation every morning.

This is My Life reveals the truth behind the headlines in Eamonn's characteristically quick-witted, engaging and entertaining way.
