''Exquisitely written... 100 percent engaging. "Boston Globe

At a moment when the world is asking ''Can the religions get along?" Abraham stands as the shared ancestor of Jews, Christians, and Muslims. He holds the key to our deepest fears—and our possible reconciliation.

Bruce Feiler set out on a personal quest to better understand our common patriarch. Traveling in war zones, climbing though caves and ancient shrines, and sitting down with the world's leading religious minds, Feiler discovers the untold story of the man who defines faith for half the world.

Both immediate and timeless, Abraham is a powerful, universal story, the first ever interfaith
portrait of the man God chose to be his partner. Thoughtful, perceptive, and inspiring in a
way that has endeared Bruce Feiler to readers around the world, Abraham offers a rare vision of hope that will redefine what we think about our neighbors, our future, and ourselves.

Bruce Feiler is the New York Times bestselling author of seven books, including Walking the Bible and Where God Was Born. He is also the writer/presenter of the PBS series Walking the Bible, a frequent contributor to NPR, and a contributing editor at Gourmet and Parade.

The phenomenon of Abraham!

I found it interesting how 3 religions have developed views of Abraham that are opposing, even though it's based on the same historical data. Usually it's easier to focus only on race, gender and sexual issues, rarely do we talk about diversity of religion. This audiobook explores Abraham as an important figure in Judaism, Christianity and Islam, so people of all major world religions could find something to take away in his/her life's meaning as important to their beliefs.
